A rose cut (faceted) large chunk of fabulousness is set on a highly textured fused silver surround which provides a characterful and interesting backdrop. The silver has a black patina that has been brushed back and polished on the high spots, all to add extra depth and sutble sparkle to this fabulous pendant.
Labradorite is one of my favourite stones! It displays so called “labradorescence”, which means that this opaque dark grey or black stone can display blue, green, purple or golden flashes when the light plays across it. My favourite variety is the one with blue flashes, and this pendant features just such a stone.
Labradorite also has an amazing ability to “change” its colouring depending on what you wear, so e.g. if you wear a green top, it looks more green, if you wear blue, it looks more blue. It’s a great stone that works with most colours you might have in your wardrobe. Favourite to wear with this stone is black for me, it just seems to make it appear more vibrant.
The pendant is hung on a 32″ long snake chain, giving the pendant a contemporary look. You can also request a different length chain if you prefer.
It was made using sterling silver and labradorite and measures approximately 47mm in length, including the bail, and 16mm in width at its widest point.
Silver hallmarked with my makers mark at Birmingham Assay Office, according to UK regulations.
