Fordite and Silver Ring – Graphic Fordite

This large striking ring is made using a polished piece of Fordite. This particular specimen has a fabulous graphic look with black, white, silver, red and dark blue and green in a beautiful abstract pattern. En eye catching one of a kind, BIG ring!

Fordite is made up from cut layers of compacted motor car paint that had hardened in the spray booths of car factories, and was taken from the Ford plant in Detroit in the US, in the 1960’s. This is a piece of history in a ring and there is only one with this gorgeous pattern.

The “stone” has been set in a simple sterling silver setting, mounted onto a plain ring band. The silver has been given a high shine finish.

The band measures 7mm wide and the top of the ring measures approximately 25 by 30mm.
