I found this fabulously rustic stone while having a paddle in our local harbour here in Boscastle. The moment I picked it up I knew what to use it for! I’ve set the irregularly shaped stone in a chunky brushed silver setting and combined it with a rusty red rose cut diamond and a hand cast silver pebble. I love the contrasting materials and finishes; the humble beach rock with a precious diamond. The terracotta red colours are perfectly matched as well, as you can see diamonds come in all sorts of colours. I’ve given the tapered band a patina which I brushed back to emphasize the high spots with a bit of shine, and the settings are finished in a frosted satin finish. A ring full of contrast and while it has quite a rustic look, it also manages to look refined and elegant.
This is a one of a kind ring, ready to ship in UK size Q. This corresponds approximately to a US size 8 1/2. If you have any ring sizing questions just contact me.
The beach stone in its setting measures approximately 26.5 x 21.5 mm and the diamond including the setting measures just over 5 mm in diameter. The ring band is tapered from about 10 mm in width at the front to around 5 mm at the back. This is to make sure the ring is really comfortable to wear.
The ring is hallmarked and stamped with my makers mark at the Birmingham Assay Office, according to UK regulations.
