New Mexico Turquoise and Swiss Blue Topaz stud earrings in sterling silver

Gorgeous blue turquoise from New Mexico in an offset triangle shape is combined with bright Swiss Blue Topaz in this one of a kind, artisan made pair of stud earrings. 

The combination of the earthy and organic turquoise with the flawless clear blue Topaz steered my design towards having a rough texture on one side and a plain on the other, to carry on the contrasting theme on the sterling silver. I love making pieces with a rough and “polished” contrasts, so I had fun making these!

The silver has been given a gunmetal grey patina which has been brought out by hand brushing and polishing, all to give the studs a mellow rustic look and complement the earthy stones.
