A fantastic cabochon made from Dinosaur bone – yes Dinosaur bone! It is a very rare material where agate grows in between the cells of fossilized remains of real dinosaurs, agitating the bone to make it hard, and the different minerals present give it various colours. This stone has deep reds and blues in it.
This stunning stone has been set into sterling silver with a hidden bail on the back along with a marquis shaped cutout to show the stone on the back. I have given it a brushed finish which is nice and subtle and doesn’t compete for attention with the cabochon, letting the beautiful stone stand out.
The pendant measures 32x14mm and hangs on a brushed 1.6mm snake chain measuring 41cm (16″) long. Something a bit different and definitely a talking point!
