Subtly stripe-patterned Crazy Lace Agates take centre stage in this lovely everyday pair of earrings. The muted mutli-coloured stones are set and surrounded by an edge decorated by some randomly scattered stripes to mimic the stripes of the gemstones. The gemstone drops are hung on simple handmade ear hooks. I have cut a plant like pattern into the backs for some added interest.
I have given the silver a gunmetal grey patina by oxidising, hand brushing and polishing, to bring out the texture and add a mellow look to the earrings.
These earrings measure approximately 1 3/4″ (4.5cm) from top of ear wires. The actual drops measure approximately 15 x 25mm.
I have more pairs of crazy lacy agate, so if you are interested in something made especially for you just contact me and I will be happy to send pictures of stones and discuss your ideas.
