It’s time again for the next online version of MADE Makers Online! This London based show has been taking place online during the past year (November 2020 and December 2020) to try and keep going, and to provide creatives with a much needed outlet during the pandemic. On Friday the 9th at 7pm it kicks off again with a weekend of amazing arts and crafts by some of the most talented designers and makers in the UK. You can expect to see everything from ceramics and glass to jewellery and textiles, just to mention a few of the many disciplines represented.
The good folks at MADE were kind enough to feature me in a blog post recently, along with a few other makers, you can read it here.
10 rings in 10 weeks!
I’m delighted to be taking part in this prestigious show again and I will be kicking off the show by announcing my latest project “10 rings in 10 days” and I will be launching the ring for week 1 too!
Pebbles and diamonds
I also have other new pieces ready for this show, among them will be some beach pebble pieces. I have recently started shaping and polishing beach stones and rocks to use in my jewellery and these new pieces sees a few of those new stones. Sometimes I find beautifully patterned pebbles and rocks with interesting quartz veins but they are not always suitable for use in my jewellery. So, I thought I’d try to treat them similarly to other gems, which are mostly cut, shaped and polished for use in jewellery. You can see a couple of examples below. I’m liking the results so I shall be spending more time in future with my trusty JoolTool to prepare new gorgeous “gems” for new pieces.
So, hope to “see” you online from Friday onwards! If you have any questions at all about the event or any of my jewellery, do just get in touch!
Let’s keep in touch!
