Labradorite ring commission in the works

Labradorite and topaz ring commission in progress

Larbradorite ring on the bench

The messy reality of a jeweller’s bench! This is what most soldering boards look like, messy and dirty. I love the idea that beautiful jewellery items rise like a phoenix from the ashes of the messy bench!

This is a commission for a ring from a lovely lady in Sweden. It’s a variation of a previous ring. It will feature a large smooth and glossy Labradorite stone, one of my all time favourite stones to work with. It’s flanked by 2 small topaz stones and little silver granules. This will be set on a simple band and given a brushed finish. Perfect simplicity! I will post more pics when it’s finished, so watch this space…
