One of a kind blue sapphire earrings

I just recently finished these gorgeous long Rugged earrings with luscious dark teal blue sapphires. The stones are to die for and they just go so well with the textures and patina of the silver drops. These textures are created by fusing silver dust and small scraps to a sterling silver base. This results in a very organic, slightly rustic, almost industrial surface. The surface texture is reminiscent of the rocks and cliffs around here, on the north Cornish coast. The gorgeous rich blue colour of these sapphires contribute to the understated edginess of these earrings! Of course, they are also one of a kind, which means there is only this one pair available.

Mailing list exclusive

I chose to try something a little bit different to what i normally do with new work. I decided to offer these one of a kind earrings for sale to my mailing list subscribers. I really wanted to offer them something exclusive, something you don’t get unless you’re on my list. I didn’t list them on my web site first, like I normally do, but offered them up to the first person who wanted them. So I sent a newsletter out on Wednesday morning and within an hour of sending it out in to the world, the earrings were sold! So they are now winging their way over to Australia, exciting!
